The Beach

Just 200 steps from Island Dunes, the sandy shoreline of Port Aransas stretches out like your own backyard paradise. The beach here is wide, soft, and perfect for morning walks with coffee, sandcastle building with the kids, or simply stretching out under an umbrella with a good book. The gentle Gulf waves make swimming and boogie boarding fun for all ages, and you’ll often spot pelicans cruising overhead or dolphins playing just beyond the surf. With the water so close, you can go from your condo to barefoot-in-the-sand in minutes.

A group of us have been renting condos there every year for at least 15+ years. We always have a great time because the place is well maintained and the staff are always friendly. They are in a great location and the condos have everything needed for a weekend away. Kim is great and makes sure we don't have any problems when we arrive. We'll be booking next year's trip as soon as reservations open for 2027.

We love staying at Island Dunes. Short walk to the beach, nice pool area and the manager Kim is amazing and makes you feel like someone. Joe the landscaper is so friendly and makes the place look beautiful.

We were there for 2 months this winter and have stayed there in the past 3 or 4 years. Wonderful place and great people. Kim the manager goes above and beyond, they have an awesome staff. Condos are always clean and comfortable. Hoping to return next winter. You meet alot of very nice people aka winter Texans who return every year.Port A in general is great.

We love this town! The condo is perfect for us! The worst part of traveling is sleeping in uncomfortable beds in my opinion. The beds here are very comfortable. The home is clean, they stocked it with PLENTY of towels, there’s probably 15 towels in this place, so we never had to reuse wet towels. There’s an excellent washer and dryer that smells and feels clean, and the pool and hot tub is perfect! My family and I love to use the hot tub at the end of the day, I think we went every night we were here but one! It’s nice and hot, not lukewarm, and big enough to still be comfortable if there’s other people in it. The pool is large too and heated, but still cool enough to keep you cool in the sun. The staff were wonderful too. Everyone we met from Kim to the maintenance guys working outside were so friendly! I highly recommend island dunes!

This was our 3rd year here for 2 months stay.. Love this place. The condo is great. Comfortable, fully equipped with everything. Kim and the staff go out of their way to make sure we have whatever we need. If there is an issue, it is taken care of right away. The other guests are friendly and inclusive. Port Aransas is our happy place. Booked again for next year.

This has been our family’s #1 spot to stay at when we travel to port A.. I have to say it’s the best home away from home. This year for Spring break was so much fun! Totally recommend to Stay at island dunes you won’t regret it.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Island Dunes. Thank you, Kim, for making us feel right at home! Excellent customer service, and our condo was very clean and provided everything we needed. Loved spending time in the pool and hot tub – both of which were beautifully maintained. Short walk to the beach and everyone was very friendly. Looking forward to returning for a longer stay!

We really love staying at Island Dunes. The condo is so clean and comfortable with everything you need. Beds are comfy, living is spacious and the beach is very close to walk or drive to. We’ve come here for over 25 years. The office staff is always welcoming and accommodating. We will be there again and again!
