The Beach

Just 200 steps from Island Dunes, the sandy shoreline of Port Aransas stretches out like your own backyard paradise. The beach here is wide, soft, and perfect for morning walks with coffee, sandcastle building with the kids, or simply stretching out under an umbrella with a good book. The gentle Gulf waves make swimming and boogie boarding fun for all ages, and you’ll often spot pelicans cruising overhead or dolphins playing just beyond the surf. With the water so close, you can go from your condo to barefoot-in-the-sand in minutes.

Beyond the beach, Port Aransas is a vibrant coastal town filled with fun and flavor. Explore the local shops and art galleries, or sample fresh Gulf seafood at one of the many laid-back restaurants. Such a great place to stay while in Port Aransas! Nice sized units that are very clean and comfortable. Love the short walk to the beach! Kim and the staff are wonderful and make your stay a pleasant one. We have stayed at Island Dunes several times and will definitely be back!

Our condo was absolutely perfect for our group. It was incredibly clean, well-stocked with everything we needed, and very comfortable. A major highlight was the large patio overlooking the pool, which became our favorite spot to relax and hang out in the evenings. Kim in the office was amazing to work with. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend Island Dunes for a Port Aransas trip!

This was our second stay at The Island Dunes and we enjoyed it! We are a family of 5 and have stayed in 1105 & 1107 and both condos were always clean, well equipped with kitchen necessities and include a washer & dryer. Pool & hot tub have always been clean and fun to enjoy when you want to get away from the sand. Location is perfect, you are 1 block away from the beach & 1 block away from a large gas station/convenience store. Kim was always quick to respond if you needed anything. We will definitely be back to visit!! 😎

This weekend my husband and I stayed for two nights in unit 1105. Everything about the condo was great! It was very clean. The bed super comfortable. The Kitchen had a keurig for making coffee and everything to cook meals. Kim the manager was wonderful as usual. We were highly satisfied. We have stayed at Island Dunes several times and we love it! A group of us have been renting condos there every year for at least 15+ years. We always have a great time because the place is well maintained and the staff are always friendly. They are in a great location and the condos have everything needed for a weekend away. Kim is great and makes sure we don't have any problems when we arrive. We'll be booking next year's trip as soon as reservations open for 2027.

We were there for 2 months this winter and have stayed there in the past 3 or 4 years. Wonderful place and great people. Kim the manager goes above and beyond, they have an awesome staff. Condos are always clean and comfortable. Hoping to return next winter. You meet alot of very nice people aka winter Texans who return every year.Port A in general is great.
